Hi everyone, I’m Ashley, the owner of Hire A Techy.

I’ve spent more than a decade working with computers and technology, and I started Hire A Techy because I kept seeing the same problem:

Technology is supposed to make life easier — but for a lot of people, it does the complete opposite.

Computers that suddenly stop working. Printers that refuse to print. Wi-Fi that works everywhere except where you need it. Passwords, scams, emails, backups, Microsoft 365, new devices — and businesses losing hours trying to fix IT problems themselves.

That’s where Hire A Techy comes in.

We help homes and businesses across Hobart and surrounding areas with everything from everyday computer problems through to business IT, Microsoft 365, networking, Wi-Fi, cybersecurity, email migrations, device setups and ongoing IT support.

But something that’s especially important to me is helping people who don’t feel confident with technology.

You shouldn't have to understand all the technical jargon just to get something working.

My job is to understand the technical side — and explain things clearly, so you feel confident using your technology.

Hire A Techy has grown largely through word of mouth so far, and I've been incredibly fortunate to have people recommend us to their friends, families and businesses.

Now it’s time for me to actually put my face to the name.
